As a company, we are seeing more and more damage caused to alloy wheels by car wash companies using extremely harsh acid cleaners. These cleaners often eat into the paint, leading to discolouration, streaking and other marks.

The owner of this Subaru WRX had innocently asked for his car to be detailed, not expecting his wheels would be left with unsightly chemical streaking. He called on Pro Auto Repairs to fix the damage and we were able to do so within an afternoon. We completed a full refurbishment including the rear dish, behind spokes, front face and all internal surfaces, whilst still maintaining the outside edge.

These Holden alloy wheels have had a hard life, abused through a lack of cleaning and/or harsh cleaning chemicals. Accumulated brake dust left for long periods can become caustic, leading to discolouration of paint and dulling of clear coats.

The driver of the Holden Cruz requested a full repaint in a vibrant new bright silver, and finished with a deep gloss clear coat. When the PRO Auto Repairs technician was finished, the wheels looked factory new. For added assurance, all our work is backed by a full warranty.

This brand-new Jaguar XE had an unfortunate incident with a curb within the first week on the road. This left the car with an unsightly gouge along the outside edge of one alloy wheel, ruining the new-car appearance.

Pro Auto Repairs localised the repair to that area, removed all damage and finished the wheel with the correct Jaguar silver and a fresh clear coat. The entire repair was completed in under 45 minutes while the driver was at work.
